The positions of Head Boy and Head Girl are sought after leadership roles within our small school. Only children in Y6 can enter the election process, by declaring their interest by writing a letter to the head teacher at the start of Autumn Term. Shortly afterwards, a whole school assembly takes places, where hopeful applicants present their manifesto for the coming year to children, staff, and governors.
After all candidates have presented; children cast their vote on specially prepared ballot papers. In addition to the Head Boy and Head Girl appointments, two deputies are also selected. The results are announced in Celebration Assembly. Successful candidates are presented with silver ties and badges so are easily recognised by visitors to the school.
This year Joey and Ava were chosen as Head Boy and Head Girl and Ryan and Elise as Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl, by the children.
