Welcome to Wolviston Primary School, we are a Small School with Big Dreams. Learning, Caring, Succeeding… Together!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We hope the information, articles and photographs within it give you a real insight into what makes Wolviston Primary such a special place. Our school is a place where children learn and thrive and effective home-school partnerships are formed. If you require a paper copy of any information on our website, please ask at the school office and these will be provided free of charge.

If you would like to visit the school please get in touch. Our Head Boy and Head Girl would be happy to join me in showing you, and your child, around the school and introducing you to our Wolviston family.

Wolviston Primary School is a small village school which is glad to serve its community. We are very proud of our reputation with families and the wider community. Pupils do particularly well in our school, this can be evidenced through results, feedback from higher education providers and through our alumni of successful citizens who keep in touch.

We greatly value the effective partnerships we develop with our families and the extended school community. Wolviston Primary has an excellent reputation with all our stakeholders. We are the first choice school for many families in the wider Billingham area. In March 2014, Ofsted judged us to be an Outstanding School and we have worked hard to maintain high quality provision in all areas across school.

We are a fully inclusive school; our curriculum has been carefully planned and is bespoke to the pupils of Wolviston Primary. Through a wide variety of differentiated activities, our curriculum aims to match the unique needs of the children it serves. We offer all our pupils meaningful learning, based on first-hand experience. Every child deserves to maximise their full potential; leaders and staff are relentlessly ambitious and consistently aim for outstanding outcomes in all aspects of each child’s learning journey through our school, and beyond. We work closely with local secondary schools to ensure transition is seamless and levels are maintained.

Our sustained academic results have been recognised by the Department of Education. School performance is important, however we firmly believe in maximising each child’s potential regardless of their starting point. Every child is an individual and we seek to bring out the very best in each child, whatever their talents. We have achieved several awards including; Rights Respecting School Gold Award, School Games Gold Mark and the Silver Arts Mark. By working through these awards, we are able to evidence and celebrate the cultural and creative skills the children demonstrate across our curriculum.

I am extremely proud to be the Head Teacher of Wolviston Primary School. If you would like to find out more about what the school has to offer please ring 01740 644374 or email enquiries@wolviston.org.uk
