We are often surprised to find out how little most children tell their parents about their school day. Our social media platforms allows teachers to give parents an insight into their child’s learning. It is hoped that by posting examples of children’s work that discussions at home are prompted, strengthen the link between learning at school and learning at home.
We seek parental consent for photos of children to appear on social media and respect the decision of parents who do not wish for their child to appear on line. We also ask the children, who are allowed to appear online, if they are happy for their photo to appear on the school social media account. By doing so, we encourage and support the child’s right to consent from an early age.
