We are very proud to offer inclusive, high quality Wrap Around Care, to all Wolviston Primary School pupils. Our offer provides structured activities, before and after school, which are led by our own qualified staff who know your child well.


Breakfast Club:
– is open term-time only with sessions running from 7:40am
– will be closed during the holidays and INSET days
– requires places to be pre-booked
– charges a £4.00 fee for each session, inclusive of breakfast

During Breakfast Club, children have the opportunity to have fun with their friends and have a filling breakfast before the day’s learning begins.

After School Club:
– is open term-time only with sessions running from 3:05pm – 4.10pm or 3.05pm – 5.40pm
– will be closed during the holidays and INSET days
– requires places to be pre-booked
– charges a fee for each session

Option 1 – 3:05pm – 4:10pm session is £5.00
Option 2 – 3.10pm – 5.40pm session is £8.50 (inc. light snack)

Each half term the menu of activities will change to allow different clubs to run and to maintain interest and different opportunities.

Please Note
Our After School Club offer will be reviewed regularly and if necessary changes will be made, for instance if government COVID guidance changes or if there is a decline in demand.

After School Club Activities for 2021-22

Autumn Term 1:1

Monday – Singing
Children will develop their love of singing whilst learning new songs and developing their skills. The children will also be working on choral performance and will perform together in school during the year

Tuesday – Cooking Club
Under close supervision, children will be reading instructions, using utensils to prepare ingredients before cooking up a wide range of recipes. Every child who attends Cooking Club will bring something yummy home to share.

Wednesday – Arts Club
Children will learn and explore different art techniques used by masters from across the world. From Georges Seurat’s pointillism to Piet Mondrian’s abstract art, children will get to use different art materials and equipment to replicate famous art works.

Thursday – PE Games Club
Children will be given the opportunity to engage in many different activities during the half term, keeping them physically active and engaged. Yoga will follow PE for children who subscribe to Night Owls.

Friday – Craft Club
Children will be provided with a range of seasonal themed craft activities which will promote creativity, and provide the children with an opportunity to explore new materials and new techniques in art.

Autumn Term 1:2

Monday – Singing

Tuesday – Lego Club
Children will design, test and build a variety of models using age appropriate LEGO bricks. With custom designed challenges they will use LEGO to develop their knowledge and skills in areas such as science, technology and engineering through play.

Wednesday – Seasonal Arts and Craft Club
Children will be provided with a range of seasonal themed craft activities which will promote creativity, and provide the children with an opportunity to explore new materials and new techniques in art.

Thursday – PEAK Sports & Yoga
Children will be given the opportunity to engage in many different activities during the half term, this will keep them active and engaged. Yoga will follow PEAK Sports for children who subscribe to Night Owls.

Friday – Animation Club
Children will watch a range of classic and well-known cartoons and animations, then through a variety of medium; drawing, modelling clay and new technologies, will explore the different approaches of animation for themselves.

Spring Term Term 2:1

Monday – Art Class

Tuesday – Table Tennis PEAK Sports
Children will learn how to play, and master Table Tennis skills with Miss Jones from PEAK

Wednesday – Games Night
Children will play, and master their skills, in a range of traditional board games. Games are likely to include Snakes and Ladders, Dominoes, Junior Scrabble, Connect Four and Monopoly

Thursday – Makaton
Makaton is a unique language programme that uses symbols and signs to enable people to communicate. During the session children will develop signs they know as well as learning new signs which they use in our inclusive school community.

Friday – Yoga and Mindfulness

A range of mindful techniques will be introduced and explored with the children including focused tasks and exercises. Research shows that mindful children feel more connected to the people around them and are better able to cope with change.

Spring Term Term 2:2

Monday – Craft Club
A range of gluing and sticking, painting and colouring, arts and craft activities.

Tuesday – Multi Sports PEAK Sports
Children will enhance their skills through a variety of games and activities with Miss Jones from PEAK

Wednesday – Retro Games
Back, due to popular demand, are our old favourites; Frustration, Monopoly, Guess Who, Pictionary, Hungry Hippos and Connect Four. 

Thursday – Construction Club
A variety of new resources, including Mecanno, Lego and K’nex have been purchased for children to investigate and build. 

Friday – Chill Out Club
A range of mindful activities will be introduced and explored further with the children including focused tasks and exercises.
